Questo è un dittico su tavola dei primi anni duemila. Omar Galliani (Montecchio Emilia, 1954) stesso dichiara che i personaggi dei suoi lavori “nascono dai giornali trovati per caso su un treno o in un bar”, sono i volti senza niente di sacrale che emergono dai grandi cartelloni pubblicitari stradali e che, grazie alle sue elaborazioni “arrivano a partecipare di una sacralità, di una saggezza, che è completamente fuori dal tempo”.
Incisioni e graffiti tracciano sulle tavole figure geometriche, simboli antichi, immagini di costellazioni e consegnano le opere ad uno spazio sospeso e senza tempo, nel quale il presente si ricongiunge con l’eternità.
Le immagini, cariche di visioni e atmosfere da sogno, testimoniano un modo di percepire tempo e cultura come un flusso continuo, nel quale tutti gli elementi del tempo sono presenti come in un eterno ritorno. Anche la cultura, intesa come unica e complessiva, è piena degli antichi insegnamenti indiani, elementi di un unico patrimonio che accomuna il genere umano.
In un mondo sempre più globalizzato l’opera di Omar Galliani si inserisce perfettamente e, nel dibattito culturale del nostro tempo, ci invita a fermarci e a riflettere.

Omar Galliani (Montecchio Emilia 1954) himself declares that the characters of his works “come from newspapers found by chance in train or in a bar” thay are faces without anything sacred that emerge from the large roadside billboards and that , thanks to his elaborations “come to participate in a sacredness, a wisdom which is completely out of time.” Engravings and graffiti trace geometric figures, ancient symbols, images of constellations on the boards and deliver the works to a suspended and timeless space, in which the present is joined to eternity. The images full of dreamy visions and atmosphers , bear witness to a way of perceiving time and culture as a continuos flow, in which all the elements of time are present in an eternal return. Even culture, understood as unique and comprehensive , is full of ancient Indian teachings, elements of a single heritage that unites mankind. In an increasing globalized world, the work of Galliani fit perfectly and, in the cultural debate of our time invites us to stop and reflect.
